Went to go see Food Inc. recently and I have to say it was an incredible movie that opened my eyes. I’ve been wanting to read The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals by Michael Pollen for a while but after reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair I was too timid. So I went a saw the movie instead, and it was great. I am going to try to commit myself as much as possible to buying local and buying seasonal fruits/veggies/meat as much as I can.
Saw this movie and fell in love with it. The soundtrack is perfect with Alexi Murdoch being the main star. Movies like these make you long for those easy relationships and the ability to pick and go around the world to find home. Ah insert wistful sigh here.
My friend and fellow Brandcenter/Adcenter alum Luis Carranza, who is the model for active blogging about advertising and all things cool at adcentered.com, posted this video and I had to make sure I bookmarked it. So cool to see where this little guy roams about with his toys and his curiosity.

Just visited Ocracoke Island, the lowest part of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It was positively beautiful and while I was there I discovered that the New York Times did a feature on photographer Shawn Rocco. Rocco takes beautiful photographs with a rinkydink cell phone from Motorola. He says it’s a conscious break from the “megapixelmania” of controlling photographs. I’ve posted a picture Shawn took while he was traveling on NC-12. Check out the feature on NYTimes and his blog Cellular Obscura.
Was just introduced to William Eggleston through NPR on Facebook. Crazy, huh? I hate it when people exist for so long and you have no idea. Well now I know this and am planning to attend: The exhibition, William Eggleston: Democratic Camera; Photographs and Video 1961–2008, opens at the Corcoran on Saturday and will run through Sept. 20. Check out the NPR feature William Eggleston: Democratic Hellraiser?
This song has been my favorite to drive around to. With the summer heat and the windows down this makes me feel like anythings possible… hopefully, a job soon too.
Absolutely love this remixed version of Britney Spears’ “Kill The Lights” – this kid completely reworked it to sound ten times better. Plus he got featured on PerezHilton.com, which is a boon to any musician these days. I also love what he did with Mims’ “Like This” – Here it is posted below.
Found these AMAZING photographys via todayandtomorrow.net and I had to post them. So fabulous, so rich – perfectly Louboutin. Click on image for larger version.
Love this video and the entire album, Apocalypso. The Presets are going to carry me through when the day Depeche Mode stops making albums. Love the cinematography on this, especially the fight scenes.
This is such a hot music video, the production is on point, love the typography. Rihanna is looking great too.
